Foodswitch – free
This is a nifty free little app brought to you by BUPA.  Packaged foods can be surprisingly high in salt, fat and sugar.  This app allows you to scan the barcodes of packaged foods with your smartphone or tablet camera to get easy-to-interpret nutritional report, for more than 37,000 products, with traffic light-style colour-coded ratings for 4 key food components (total fat, saturated fat, sugar and salt).

The app also has a ‘switch’ option which offers a list of similar foods that are healthier choices.
If you’re in GlutenSwitch mode, the app lists any gluten-free alternatives and orders them based on how healthy they are.  If you’re in SaltSwitch mode, you get a list of lower-salt alternatives.

My Diet Coach – free
It’s all about motivation. One of the hardest parts of dieting is finding the motivation to keep going when things get hard. My Diet Coach App is designed to be your cheerleader and help you beat all the potential hazards that could put a damper on your diet dreams. Got a food craving? Give yourself the food craving 15, and the app times you for 15 minutes to see if you’re really still craving that food. The app can also give you motivational tips, suggestions, or thought cues to help you beat the craving or find motivation.

Daily Yoga (All-in-One)
This Yoga Coaching App provides dynamic yoga sessions which range in duration and difficulty.   The app will help beginners and pros alike in doing their daily yoga poses by providing HD videos, live voice instructions and more. Start by downloading the poses that you want to learn about.  Tap Start Training and view the Session List for exercises you might be interested in. Maybe start with yoga poses to work on your abs.  You can also move up to yoga poses to tone your body.
